G. Douglas Vallee Limited was retained by the County of Brant as the Structural Engineer for the replacement of the Mill Street Bridge in Mount Vernon. The existing bridge was a 1920s concrete arch that had deteriorated beyond rehabilitation, and the new bridge was designed with pile foundations, precast deck girders, and a semi-integral abutment deck end design. The design also featured heritage aesthetics for the barrier walls, field rail fence railing, and heritage plaques.
